WERE MARRIED!!!

Hi! I'm back after a long time of being away from my blog, I am finally able to get back to blogging! I am so glad to be back to writing full time. We are Married!!! Well, we had our court wedding a few months back but we wanted to have a real country wedding. Originally I thought a full on royal wedding was what I wanted, personally that was my ideal wedding, something lavish and expensive, but while my flesh desired all the fancy things that I thought I totally deserved, I was completely humbled by the end of my journey towards the wedding day. Who was I to think that I deserved nothing but the very best of the best that money could afford. Even Jesus being the King of Kings didn't come expecting to be treated like a King, he was born in a manger, the last place on earth a King should have to be born! But He came into this world humbled and it took the heart of a King to show me His world through His perspective to show me that it isn't about the lavish things in life that we should have it's about lavishing those He loves with His love.

I spent my time focusing on the Lord leading up to the Wedding so I didn't do any writing here on my blog for the longest time. I kept my eyes on the Lord and all that He was showing me. I spent some time in the beautiful country side where there is nothing but lush green rolling hills and bright yellow flowers sprouting up all over the place. It brought a peace to my life. I had decided I was going to follow the King. I took His hand in exchange for His plan for the Wedding for His vision. Sometimes we can get our vision for what we want mistaken with God's ultimate love story. He is the writer and author of our lives, if we are really following Him with all of our hearts minds and everything within us we have step back and ask if we are fighting for something that is really not in God's perfect plan.

We have a (Strong Will) a very strong (Will) to see our plan for what we want to pan out, we have a want to see what we desire (given) to us. Yet in the end I can tell you that God created a wedding for Garret and I that was more lavish than the dream I originally had in mind. I got to travel up North for our wedding that was a super plus, and ten times better than going to the church just down the road from my parents house. Although I love and adore my childhood home church for a lavish wedding, which I had in mind. Because it is just meant for a wedding that is as elegant as the church it's self is, it was more fitting that we have the wedding up North, so that Garret's Father could Marry us, and that was the true treasure of it all. Beyond a lavish wedding, having had a country wedding wedding with Garret's father as our minister that day proved to be a blessing we would always treasure and never forget.

In the end we got to tie the knot officially in front of family and friends, and family and friends that we really had not spent a lot of time around but who brought their love and support and best wedding wishing to us. It was one of the best weddings I could have ever asked for. My sister-in-law Jill came to visit and she was a huge! help through that entire weekend. I don't know what I would have done without her. She literally helped create my dream veil, so Thank you Jill for sitting on the project of completing my dream and helping to make it happen. She has the dream wedding touch! If you need your dress bustled she is the one to do it. If you need advise on what you should be wearing under your wedding dress so that it sits right she is the one to go to. She is everything Bridal. If you need pictures she is one of the very best photographers I have ever had the chance to spend my time with.

Not only did I have a beautiful wedding, we had a gorgeous court wedding, our wedding helped to propel us forward into the big unknown of what was coming next, which was the Country wedding. We were thinking a fun small country wedding but! it ended up that we had a pretty big turn out up North. We got plenty of photos from the day of the court wedding, and we got a ton of photos from the day of the wedding. To top that all of our wedding photos ended up free! What a blessing! What a God send that we were able to get two sets of wedding photos. Not only did we have some of the best photographers money could buy and didn't have to pay a single cent on it we enjoyed our photographers because they were our own family and friends who just so happen to have the best cameras money could buy and the best career's in photography that we got the best of both worlds and enjoyed every single second of taking photos together because our interaction. Everything was 100% natural and not staged in anyway, which made taking photos all along the way extra special.

Not only! did we have two wedding experiences, along with memorable photography, I also had the chance to enjoy two wedding dresses. Both of which I like. The first dress I had on hand, and had used for a beautiful photo-shoot on the beach with Tasha, who had taken the pictures. Thanks to Oshey, "Be original" that is her saying, for creating and designing this dress, I had the chance to get to know her really well and had bought the dress from her, in the inspiration that she had named this particular dress a wedding dress, I knew it would not be the original Wedding dress that I would wear for the big event up North but I held onto it for several fancy occasions. Little did I know I know I would actually be wearing it for our Court Wedding date, but I did! and I am so very glad that I did. It was truly a blessed day. And to add to it, I had a very lovely "EXPENSIVE" wedding dress from my father who bought me the main dress for the main day. I felt beautiful wearing it. I can't believe how it all turned out. Who get's to wear two dresses for two occasions? I got the most out of both dresses.

As you can imagine we have been non stop. One thing right after another. As soon as we got back home from our wedding up North, we had not only moved the rest of the last of Garret's things out of his old room and packed it home, but we also had a whole tuck load of gifts to pack back with us, that his dad brought back to the house from the wedding. We were traveling with a full car load. Once we got home we were busy unpacking and setting up our new lives in our home. I hardly had a second to write. Writing takes a lot of my time and thought but as you can see I am officially back for good. To share with you our journey from here on out.

As for a Honeymoon well, we haven't taken it yet. But we will be sure to inform you once we have arrived at a day and time that we will be taking off for our first journey away from home together lol alone, all alone on our own little excursion. For now we have been welcoming family and friends to our home for an Open House celebration of our Newlywed lives together and starting out. My parents wanted to do something special as well and so they blessed us with a very beautiful celebration cake that said, "Congratulations, Newlyweds!" we were excited to be enjoying yet another cake and more gifts that piled in as the guests came with their favorite food to share for our family and friends potluck. It was a grand event and Garret did an awesome job grilling, one of his favorite things to do for family and friends, grill some yummy food. As our Saturday family and friends potluck came to a close we shared a beautiful slide show made by yours truly, me. Which they really enjoyed and I was quiet surprised by own slide show making skills myself. We have been non stop celebrating our wedding. I can tell you it has been a real joy to have an Open House potluck with family and friends and I would highly suggest it to ANY Newlywed couples out there. It is the best idea yet. Thanks to my friend Amy who suggested it. You will always have plenty of food left over to enjoy! Best bet yet, food! You will be well stocked with more food than you can consume fast enough to make it's freshness last but it sure is a money saver on your wallet and you get to enjoy  everyone's favorite food.

The best part about doing an Open House as a Newlywed is this. Your New for the first time to the way each other does things. For example we haven't been in this house long enough to have ever had a large party and so we had to talk about how we wanted to rearrange the house so that there would be room enough for everyone to be both inside and out and have room to sit inside the house without getting to crowed. You learn about the way you work together to prepare for a big event. For instance what you think is important to finish before the party might seem to the other person something that can get done the day of the party. It is a great way to learn for the first time how you both can successfully pull off such a large gathering. The other gift of having the chance to have an Open House is being able to meet all your neighbors and invite them to come over so that you have a better chance of getting to know who all your living close to. If you haven't had the chance to meet a new church family, this would be a great reason to get grounded into a new church and begin creating new family who will be there to gather with you for the celebration of your new life. It is the perfect opportunity to meet new people and build new and strong relationships while celebrating with family and friends whom you have grown up with, even those who you have had long standing relationship with in your childhood church that you have grown up in. This way everyone has the chance to come together and celebrate. It is a good new season and a wonderful way to jump start you new life together both as a Newlywed couple and with those you love.

The Party isn't over yet, if you thought it was, well, there is one more thing coming, if you haven't thought about how you might gift your Maid of Honor, your Bridesmaids and those ladies in your life like cousins or sisters, Mom and Mom-In-Law if they happen to be close by like most of my wonderful family is, why not invite them over for a "Thank You dinner and spa night with a movie?" While your Husband goes out with the boy, excuse me, *cough* I mean the "Men" that is what I plan to do. After all, these ladies went all out for me, to help make our "Wedding Day" Special in every, including the Bachelorette Party. This way, you have closed yet another chapter in an exciting way. I did give my girl's beautiful gifts, a hand bag and mason jar filled with candy and pretty pink pearl earrings and thanks to my beautiful sister-in-law a long pretty pearl necklace. I am now reinforcing my own thanks in my own way for all that my girl's did to travel up North for the wedding giving up their time and attention and money to make this day ever so special in every way.

So that is why I have been absent, WERE MARRIED! and I am officially back to write my blogs. As long as I have away to blog I will continue to do it. More to come.
